The 14th Dalai Lama is the supreme leader of Tibetan Buddhism and temporal leader of the Tibetan people. The Dalai Lama has been struggling for the real liberation of his homeland-Tibet. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.

The Dalai Lama always teaches the importance of "love" and "compassion" to others.

In 2000, when the Dalai Lama visited Japan, he repeatedly emphasized the teaching to many Japanese audiences.
